HEN HAWK ACRES

Hen-Hawk Acres, run by Don and Pam Dennies, is located on Genesee Rd in Chaffee, NY. Don’s family originally owned a dairy farm located at Hen Hawk Acres, but about 16 years ago they began selling other produce, leading them to open the store a few years after.

Upon opening, their desire was to sell mostly locally grown and sourced items- whether that be their produce, gift items, or other commodities they acquired.

As their dream became reality the Dennies and their team now offer u-pick strawberries, u-pick flowers, fresh apples (straight from their 100 apple tree orchard), vegetables, beef & pork (both of which are raised right on the farm), fresh baked goods, cuba cheese, spices from A-Z, snack, potatoes, along with offering vegetable and flower subscriptions and various handmade gift items.

But their locally acquired produce and products are not the only thing that makes Hen Hawk special. You will also find, upon walking in the store, you will be met with kindness and a family like atmosphere. Pam often reminds her staff, “Make the customer feel like they’re special and like they are the only ones, whether there is a line out to the road or there is just one customer.” So not only will their beautiful flowers and delicious treats bring you back, so will their smiles.
